The power of the Internet and the typed, rather than the written word, has been greatly under appreciated by the generations that never became accustomed to computers and the accessible information that it offers. This video diagrams how the written word has transformed into the typed word online and the advantages of using computers in writing and research. Although the internet and easily accessible information have been criticized by several researchers for its influence on younger generations, claiming that it shortens attention span and lowers children's comprehension of difficult ideas. In reality the mode of communication mirrors the speed of life, one that is constantly increasing with the need for efficiency and higher standards in a larger populous, so the way in which we communicate has become faster and less personable in the name of efficiency. This video helps explain the importance of communication and how the typed word has expanded and forever changed all preconceived knowledge of writing an communication.

The form of the video may serve as an introduction to the internet for any user of he internet. The writing of a sentence and constantly fixing it numerous times in an attempt to describe the value of written communication, guides the audience to rethink the expedience and malleability of the internet. Writing a sentence on a piece of paper and fixing it appears to be much messier and uncertain in comparison to the usage of the computer to type the same sentence and improve it. Following a very linear pattern allows the audience to follow the author's train of thought on the matter of the internet as an essential and world connecting mode of communication. Logos follows the form of the video perfectly in that uses an deductive style to help break the internet down into the pieces that shape the for the internet takes place. The simplicity of the terms and images, diagramming the parts of programs that aid the author's argument, essentially boil down to the same structure as physical writing. After the author makes the point that typing or using the internet functions the same way that sending a letter in communication with another person would be. After establishing the importance of the internet, the author uses the foundation to bend the discussion, saying that whoever is capable is using the internet in anyway is connected to the other people that use the internet because we all use the same information. The communication between different cultures, families, even yourself opens the mind to endless possibilities, all because the internet has become a prominent method of communication in the modern world.
